A Real-life Faith for Real-world Teens

Teens know what it’s like in the world – the pressures, the frustration and the challenges of life. We love to partner with teens and show them a new way of living – a life founded in Christ, with a sincere faith that leads us to a new lifestyle that’s not hypocritical but based on love and service. HGYM uses multimedia and modern music to creatively and effectively preach, teach and minister the Gospel message of Jesus Christ to teens to build a Godly foundation in every one of us. Then we can take what is being poured in and begin to pour it out to others.

What we offer…

Our youth ministry is not short on activities! We plan weekly, quarterly and annual events to serve a couple main needs. First, kids need experiences with God directly, not only preaching and teaching. Secondly, they need relationships to connect and grow together with. Check out what we host for our high schoolers regularly:

• Wednesday Night Services – Every Wednesday night we have a youth cultured service full of cutting edge worship, multimedia, an element of fun, student involvement and an understandable youth message followed by a time of fellowship in our state-of-the-art café and game room.
• Home groups – We have two strategic homes within five miles of the church – east side and west side. Our home groups meet on the first and third Sunday of each month from 6-8 PM. This is a great time for students to connect with other students from their schools or neighborhood. The purpose of our Home Groups is to have a place where teens can grow spiritually while being known, cared for and held accountable in their Christian walk.
• Events and Retreats – Our goal with our events and retreats is so teens can connect with God but also connect with their peers in a fun way! They can strengthen their relationship with God and with one another and have a blast doing it.
• Student Leadership – We have a program called Direct Connect student leadership. This is a ministry for students who own their faith, and want to learn how to be dynamic Christian leaders.
• Outreach – We have quarterly outreaches so students can learn how to reach out to people who are less fortunate. We also have evangelistic out reaches to give our teens the opportunity to invite their friends to church to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
• Ministry Teams – We love when teens use the gifts and talents that God has given them to serve in the local church. We offer plenty of opportunities to serve in our ministry.
