How to Use CCB
CCB (Church Community Builder) is the database we use at CCC to store contact information and organize our calendar and groups. As a leader, this is how you can communicate with your group members. Here are start to finish instructions of how to create an account and find what you need!
1. Go to the Login Page
🔗 Visit: cccsterling.ccbchurch.com
2. Log In
✉ Enter your email and password.
🔑 Don’t have an account? Click REQUEST ACCOUNT.
📌 If you forgot your password, you can reset it here as well.
3. Access Your Dashboard
🏠 The dashboard shows your groups in a list on the right (on a computer) or in the center, halfway down the page (on a mobile device).
4. Open Your Group and Send Message
👥 Click your group name (preceded by the semester- ex. W26) to see members and details.
📝 Send messages by going to the Messages tab, click New Message and follow the prompts.
5. View Participants
🔍 Go to Participants tab and you will see a list of those who have registered for your group.
✏️ To view their profile, click on their name in this list.
Some groups choose to communicate via text or apps like GroupMe and WhatsApp instead of CCB. Feel free to use whatever method works best for your situation!
TIPS FOR EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP
- Communicate Often
- You will receive an email when someone registers for your group. Please contact them within the next day or two to welcome them and share important group information. Be clear and thorough—let them know where to go, what to expect, and any details that will help them feel comfortable attending.
- Send reminders before each group meeting. These simple touchpoints help people stay connected and prepared.
- Stay in contact with group members between meetings. This is a great opportunity for one-on-one communication—following up on prayer requests, celebrating life events, or simply checking in. Caring for people is always the priority.
- Follow up after meetings as well. You might summarize key points from the lesson, highlight a meaningful Scripture or insight someone shared, or remind the group of a moment that made everyone laugh. These messages help reinforce connection and learning.
- Use a variety of communication tools such as email, text messages, or apps. Different people respond better to different methods, so flexibility goes a long way.
- Be encouraged! We don’t always receive responses as quickly—or as often—as we hope. When your messages are met with silence, it doesn’t mean they aren’t making an impact. God is still using your care and communication to minister to people.
2. People are the Priority
- Welcome well- Create a welcoming and safe environment from start to finish. Greet people with a smile, direct them to snacks, connect them to others. Great group leaders help people feel seen, valued, and comfortable being themselves. They set the tone for honesty, respect, and belonging so real relationships can grow.
- Care Deeply- Shepherd people, not just meetings. Community group leaders care about what’s happening between meetings. They pray for members, follow up on life events, and walk with people through joys and struggles—not just the weekly discussion.
- Lead Spiritually- Point people to Jesus! Everything flows from this. Great leaders guide conversations toward Scripture, prayer, and applying faith to everyday life. They don’t have all the answers, but they consistently lead the group back to Christ.
3. Prioritize your own Spiritual Growth.
- Be faithful in prayer, personal Scripture study, and regular church attendance. Your leadership flows out of your own walk with Christ.
- Trust God to work through you and release the pressure to be a perfect leader. Faithfulness matters more than perfection—God is the one who brings the growth.
- Ask for help or counsel when difficulties arise. You are not meant to lead alone, and we are here to support and minister to you as well.
- Celebrate the wins, even the small ones. We are called to make disciples, and that often happens one step at a time. Some plant, some water, and God gives the increase.
