A place for all available volunteer opportunities at CCC

SpringHill Volunteers

Host Counselor description: A Host Partner Counselor assists in leading a group of campers alongside a SpringHill Counselor as well as running activities, leading games, songs, bathroom breaks, etc. throughout camp. Host Partner Counselors provide energy, enthusiasm, and encouragement to the day camp experience. Host Partner Counselors receive training before camp starts, job skill development, intentional spiritual development during the week, growth opportunities in the future, and pay at $200 for the week of day camp here at CCC.

CIT: A CIT is assigned to a group of campers for the week. CITs help manage campers through playing GWAPS (games with a purpose), singing songs, helping with activities, and talking with kids about what they’re learning about God. SpringHill love CITs that have a lot of energy, are service-minded, and love Jesus! Through this experience, CITs will also have the opportunity to be mentored by our staff and learn what it looks like to be a counselor for SpringHill. A CIT must be at least thirteen years of age (exceptions are given by the SpringHill liaison for your church).

  • Time Commitment: CITs are expected to attend a training on Sunday before the week of Camp. CITS will arrive for morning devotionals at 8AM and will be done by 4:30PM. Camp lasts five days, Monday-Friday. If you can’t commit to all the times listed, SpringHill is flexible depending on the circumstance!

Host Homes: A host home houses 2-5 SpringHill staff during the week of camp. You will provide dinner on Monday and Wednesday and a light breakfast throughout the week. Families who serve as host homes should be flexible, love to host people and understand that our staff won’t be there all the time. We are looking for: clean house, bathroom and shower available, beds preferred, however, we have air mattresses available, can accommodate at least 2 SpringHill Staff (3 or more preferred), separate rooms (staff should not share rooms with host family members; can share rooms with each other), within 10 miles of the camp site.

  • Time Commitment: Staff will arrive on Sunday evening before camp and will leave on Friday or Sunday following camp. The staff has their own transportation during the summer, and you will not be asked for rides. If SpringHill staff are staying the weekend in a host home, the host family is not expected to entertain them, rather we encourage our staff to get out of the house and do things together on weekends.

Registration Volunteers: On Monday, registration volunteers help us process registration quickly and efficiently. You will be stationed at a table and help parents and campers through the check-in process. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, be detail-oriented, and have great people skills. This is an excellent opportunity to give parents and children a great first impression of your church!

  • Time Commitment: Monday morning from 8AM- 9:30AM

Lunch Prep Volunteers: Lunch prep volunteers are responsible for helping prepare food for SpringHill staff and church volunteers for lunch at eleven thirty each day. You will be in charge of preparing lunch and cleaning up each day. There are no age restrictions for this role.

  • Time Commitment: Depending on your schedule, you could work one day or multiple. Let the SpringHill liaison for your church know when you are available.

Prayer Partner Volunteers: We are looking for prayer partners that would be willing to be at camp during the week praying for life changing experiences. Scripture reminds us that, “The battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Ephesians 6:12) Because we believe this truth, we must engage prayers warriors, both on-site at camp, and off-site who are committed to do battle spiritually, on the behalf of all campers. This role at camp is training ground for all of us, as we deliberately engage lots of Christians in interceding on behalf of the ministry of SpringHill. This role promises to stretch you, challenge you, and surprise with “Godsized” answers to your prayers! While others at camp play various important roles, your role is to focus solely on what other may miss in the scramble of a day at camp. Your focus is on “seeing” with your spiritual eyes and interceding for others, that we might move the heavenly realms! You will have the opportunity to pray for each camper, summer leader, and Day Camp Site leaders. As you engage in day-to-day conversation with campers and leaders we are confident that you will begin to gather a theme to be praying through.

  1. Time Commitment: Flexible. Talk with your church contact for more details

You are responsible for feeding the team and allowing space for the staff to gather and have our time of worship or just hang out. The staff will stay from 6:00pm to approximately 9:00pm. Our staff members are fun-loving college students so they always appreciate places that have pools, lawn games, or indoor game rooms.
